This occasion was held on the 29th of July, 2023 at Olekasasi Parish and was graced by His Lordship, Rt Rev Oballa Owaa, Bishop of Ngong Diocese.

Kiserian Deanery was newly carved out of Ngong Deanery

and consists of nine parishes namely St Thomas Apostle Magadi Parish, Our Lady of the Rosary Ololoitokoshi Parish, St Mary's Kiserian Parish, St Charles Lwanga Nkoroi Parish, Our Lady of Fatima Ongata Rongai Parish, Holy Spirit Kandisi Parish, St Mary's Ongata Rongai, St Monicah Ongata Rongai and the newest St Ignatius of Loyola Olekasasi Parish.

The event combined both CMA and CMA in a pioneer joint event, which was proposed not for every year, but to take place every other year.

In his homily, the Bishop reiterated that It was Gods plan that men and women  live together.  Man was created from the earth and woman from man. Neither can do without the other. They are complementary.

A christian marriage is between one man and one woman and like the ring has no beggining and no end. It is in the family that love obviates itself. Husbands must love their wives as Christ loves the church and wives must submit to their husbands. When we love one another, God lives in us.

Families go through many challenges. It is normal to have doubts about our spouses at times and question ourselves if we made the right choice. It is a wrong concept for women to think that they are better than men. There is no competition in your lives but everyone should be themselves.

We need to be schooled in love. The love of God is based on our love for others. When we show generosity we are showing it to God.
We should show love at all times no matter the circumstances.

To crown this a selected couple, Michael and Susan Mbugua, gave a fourty minute talk on their real life experience to encourage the married congregants. They spoke on their challenges and successes and how they had overcome them to date. They were introduced by the CWA Chair lady.

In attendance were other clergy including Fr Boniface Mukwe, the CMA Diocesan Chaplain. The CWA Diocesan Chaplain was unable to attend due to being indisposed. The occasion ended with cake cutting and lunch. it was a huge success.
